PEORIA, Ill. - The inaugural Bids for the Braves Athletic Benefit will play out in front of a full house as the Bradley University Braves Club today announced that Saturday night's fund-raising event has sold out.

Combining many of the popular elements of the Bradley Basketball Preseason Gala and the Bids for the Braves Auction, the Bids for the Braves Athletic Benefit is the largest single fund-raising event benefitting Bradley Athletics.  With Voice of the Braves Dave Snell serving as the evening's emcee, the 2009 Bids for the Braves Athletic Benefit will feature the introduction of the 2009-10 Bradley men's and women's basketball teams, remarks from head coaches Jim Les and Paula Buscher and the presentation of Snell's popular preseason videos, as well as live and silent auctions featuring a wide range of unique items.

Held at the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino Ballroom, doors will open for Saturday night's Bids for the Braves Athletic Benefit at 5:30.  Although the event has sold out, those unable to attend the event may bid on items through a proxy bidder and should contact Rob Bogardus, Bradley Assistant AD for Ticket Operations (rbogardus@bradley.edu or 309-677-2625) to make those arrangements.
