Quoting Jim DeRose
"J.T. has been a center back or right back for his club team, the Dallas Texans.  He is very athletic and conscientious defensively.  His aerial ability is excellent and he is a very good individual defender.  Losing some of our best and most-athletic defenders to graduation, we feel J.T. can follow in a long line of guys that embrace the challenge of dealing with the top attacking players in the country.  He, no doubt, will help fill the defensive void created by our recent graduation."

"J.T. has been a member of the Dallas Texans select program for all of his youth career.  His commitment and enthusiasm on and off the field has helped his teams and the club reach USYSA and USSF finals levels of competition.  J.T. is an accomplished and aggressive defender who develops an excellent working relationship with his teammates and coaches."
