PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore Madeline Lynch-Crumrine (Sedro-Woolley, Wash./Sedro-Woolley) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after earning all-tournament honors at the Phyllis Rafter Memorial.

Lynch-Crumrine hit .688 with a home run, three runs scored and an .875 slugging percentage, while factoring in all three of Bradley's victories during tournament play.  After an 0-for-2 start to the week at the plate, Lynch-Crumrine collected 11 hits in her final 14 at bats, including a 4-for-4 day in Bradley's 3-2 win against 2011 NCAA Tournament participant Indiana.  In the circle, she was 2-1 with a save and a 2.74 ERA in 23 innings of work.  A psychology major, Lynch-Crumrine owns a 3.17 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Lynch-Crumrine and the Braves return to action March 9-11 at the Under Armour Showcase in Clearwater. Fla.  Bradley opens tournament play Friday March 9 at 10:30 a.m. (CST) against Boston.
