OPEN POSITION: MARKETING ASSISTANT
Bradley University is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Sports Marketing Assistant for the 2012-13 academic year. This is a seasonal position, paying a stipend of $1,100 per month from August 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013. The marketing assistant will report directly to the Director of Marketing. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: building and implementing marketing plans for assigned sports; assistance with the execution of game day marketing plans at men's basketball; management of in-game entertainment for assigned sports including music, script writing, video board production, and on-field promotions; assist with coordination of student workers and other game day employees; leading on and off-campus marketing initiatives and various other duties as assigned.
The chosen candidate will also work closely with the corporate sales fulfillment process, social media efforts, season and group ticket sales, and athletic ticket operations. This position will perform all duties in adherence with NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference, and university policies.
The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and creativity; proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite software; and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Candidates should be team-oriented and willing to work irregular hours including evenings, holidays and weekends. Strong working knowledge of Adobe CS programs and game day experience in a college athletic department or similar sports program preferred. Bachelor's degree is required.
