PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley women's track and field team was named a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team, according to an announcement by the USTFCCCA Thursday.  The Braves earned the honor for the 11th consecutive year and were tied for seventh among NCAA Division I track & field programs with a 3.49 cumulative grade point average.

Bradley, which ranked in the top in the nation in grade point average for the fourth time in the last eight years, was one of five Missouri Valley Conference teams to earn the award.  Duke owned the top grade point average in the nation at 3.58.  BU was tied with Ohio Valley Conference member Morehead State for seventh nationally.

The Braves had 21 individuals earn a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll following the 2012 Spring semester, including two individuals with perfect 4.0 semester GPA's.  Bradley is one of 15 teams to win USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors each of the last eight years.
