PEORIA, Ill. – The opportunity to mingle with the Bradley men’s and women’s basketball teams and bid on a wide range of unique items await guests at the 10th annual, western-themed Bids-for-the-Brave, presented by Heritage Bank, Sept. 22 at Par-A-Dice Hotel.
The event program now is available online at BradleyBraves.com and describes more than 200 items that will be available in live and silent auctions. The 27 live auction items include a wide variety of travel packages, including air transportation and 3-nights lodging in Nashville for the 2012 Country Music Awards; a 5-night stay in Rome, Itay; and a 6-night tour of Ireland to include an overnight stay in a historic Irish castle; as well as vacation packages in Banff, Calgary; Las Vegas; Fripp Island, S.C.; Keystone, Colo.; and Kauai, Hawai’i. Sports experience packages include tickets two tickets to two of golf’s four major championships – the 2013 U.S. Open and the 2013 PGA Championship – as well as a complete travel package for the 2012 Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Championship and the opportunity to serve as honorary coach for the Bradley men’s basketball game Dec. 1 against Michigan.
Tickets for the Bids-for-the-Braves, presented by Heritage Bank, are $90 each for Braves Club members and $100 for non-members and may be purchased through the Braves Club office at Renaissance Coliseum (309-677-2667) or online through BradleyBraves.com.
Doors at the Par-A-Dice Hotel Ballroom will open at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 22 and the silent auction will begin immediately. Guests are encouraged to dress in Western wear and the evening’s program will include the introduction of the 2012-13 Bradley men’s and women’s basketball teams.
