BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Junior Alise Tupuritis (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) tallied a career-high 29 kills, but it wasn't enough to help Bradley pull out the win as Wisconsin-Green Bay rallied to take the final three sets and top the Braves 27-29, 23-25, 25-20, 25-19, 15-11 Saturday afternoon at the Jackrabbit Invitational.

Tupuritis, who collected 13 kills with just one hitting error in the first two sets, finished with a career-best 29 kills to mark the most kills by a Bradley player since Lindsay Stalzer had 30 kills in October 2005.

Bradley (5-3 overall) used late pushes in both of the first two sets to win the frames and take a two-sets-to-none lead.  Wisconsin-Green Bay (4-5 overall) claimed the final three sets, however, to win the match.

Wisconsin-Green Bay held set point in the opener at 24-23, when sophomore Courtney Keefe (Lemont, Ill./.Lemont) tied things up with a kill.  With the score knotted at 27-27, Tupuritis notched back-to-back kills to close out a 29-27 BU victory.  Tupuritis recorded seven of her career-best 29 kills in the first set.

Despite leading by as many as five points in the second set, Bradley needed a late push to pull out a 25-23 win.  Green Bay used an 8-2 run to go in front 22-21, but junior Amy Angelos (Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan) helped the Braves pull out the win.  After a Keefe kill pulled BU even, Angelos recorded two kills and a block assist to help the Braves close out the frame.

The Phoenix hit .361 in the third set and used a 5-0 spurt midway through the frame to put the set out of reach.  Wisconsin-Green Bay led 17-14, when Leah Van Zeeland highlighted a 5-0 Phoenix run with a pair of kills and her team went on to take the set 25-20.

Wisconsin-Green Bay continued its hot hitting in the fourth set, boasting a .323 hitting percentage in the frame and pulled even in the match with a 25-19 win.

Bradley scored the first four points of the fifth set, but Bradley hit .042 in the deciding set and Wisconsin-Green Bay completed the come back with a 15-11 victory.  The Phoenix led 11-10, when Taylor Kasal found the floor with two of her three fifth-set kills to help Wisconsin-Green Bay complete the come-back win.

Angelos was the only other Bradley player besides Tupuritis in double figures, finishing with 13 kills.  Sophomore Madison Kamp (Orland Park, Ill./Chicago Christian) collected six kills, nine digs and a career-best 58 assists in the setback, while junior Lauren Zerante (Elmhurst, Ill./York) had a match-high 20 digs.

Bradley closes out play at the Jackrabbit Invitational Saturday night with a 7 p.m. match against tournament-host South Dakota State.
