PEORIA, Ill. – Braves Club members can begin marking their calendars with Game Day Luncheons, Pre-Game Parties and fundraising activities associated with Bradley Athletics. The 2012-13 calendar includes four basketball Game Day Lunches and five Pre-Game Parties, both presented by Herget Bank; as well as the Braves Club Raffle, presented by South Side Trust Savings Bank; the Braves Club Classic golf tournament; and the Bids-for-the-Braves Auction, presented by Heritage Bank of Central Illinois.

Former Bradley Basketball star Anthony Parker will be the featured speaker for the first basketball Braves Club Game Day Luncheon, presented by Herget Bank, Nov. 12 on Mitchell “J.J.” Anderson Court in the Renaissance Coliseum Basketball Performance Center. The 1996 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and a 16-year professional basketball veteran, Parker will be inducted into the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame at halftime of the Nov. 12 men’s basketball game versus Texas-Pan American at Renaissance Coliseum.
Three additional Game Day Luncheons, presented by Herget Bank, are scheduled for Dec. 4 (George Washington head coach Mike Lonergan), Jan. 15 (Southern Illinois head coach Barry Hinson) and Feb. 15 (Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Class). The final three luncheons will be held in the Michel Student Center ballroom. Advance reservations are required for the Braves Club Game Day Luncheons. Tickets for each of the four events are $20 for Braves Club members, $25 for non-members and may be purchased in advance by contacting the Braves Club Office at 309-677-2667.
Each of the five Braves Club Pre-Game Parties, presented by Herget Bank, will be held in the Peoria Civic Center beginning two hours prior to tipoff: Dec. 1 versus Michigan (1 p.m.), Dec. 29 versus Drake (5 p.m.), Jan. 29 versus Illinois State (5 p.m.), Feb. 16 versus Indiana State (11 a.m.) and Feb. 27 versus Creighton (5 p.m.). Each of the five Pre-Game Parties is open to all Braves Club Members and the Feb. 16 party also will be open to Bradley University alumni.
Board members once again will be selling tickets for the annual Braves Club Raffle, presented by South Side Trust Savings Bank, throughout the 2012-13 basketball season. Tickets are $100 each and 12 prizes will be awarded, ranging from $500-$25,000, beginning with two Early Bird Drawing winners ($1,000 and $2,000) following the Dec. 29 men’s basketball game against Drake at Carver Arena. The final 10 prizes will be awarded following the Feb. 27 men’s basketball game against Creighton.
The annual Braves Club Classic Golf Tournament will be hosted by Mt. Hawley Country Club June 3. The event will include morning (7 a.m.) and afternoon (12:30 p.m.) shotgun tee-time options, as well as the evening dinner program featuring Bradley head coaches. Foursomes - $1,100 morning or $1,500 afternoon - may be reserved in advance by contacting the Braves Club Office.
The 11th annual Bids-for-the-Braves Auction, presented by Heritage Bank of Central Illinois, has been tentatively scheduled for Sept. 21 and will return to the Par-A-Dice Hotel in East Peoria. The event includes both live and silent auctions with a wide range of travel, entertainment and memorabilia items, dinner, introductions of the men’s and women’s basketball teams and the opportunity to mingle with Bradley Athletics coaches, staff and student-athletes. Tickets will be $90 for Braves Club members, $100 for non-members and may be reserved in advance by contacting the Braves Club Office.
