PEORIA, Ill. -- Homecoming week is in full swing on the Hilltop and among the various events taking place across campus from Oct. 10-14 are some must-see Bradley Athletics games and activities.
Friday is the first major ticket-buying day for the Bradley men’s basketball program as it will be the first day for fans to begin purchasing tickets for the annual Spaghetti Supper, which will be Nov. 1 at Renaissance Coliseum, as well as the two preseason exhibition games (Oct. 29 vs. Upper Iowa and Nov. 3 vs. Wisconsin-Parkside) and the FAN-tastic 4-Pack of regular-season games against Eastern Illinois, Michigan, Wichita State and Illinois State. In addition, the general public may begin purchasing tickets Friday for the Nov. 12 game versus Texas-Pan American at Renaissance Coliseum, which will feature the halftime induction of Anthony Parker into the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame.
Ticket prices for the Oct. 29 exhibition versus Upper Iowa are $10 for the general public, $5 for Bradley University faculty and staff and $1 for Bradley students. Spaghetti Supper prices are $12 for adults, $6 for kids (12 and under) and $30 for a Family Pack and includes admission to the women’s basketball exhibition game versus Lindenwood that night. Regular-season Carver Arena ticket prices will apply for the Nov. 3 exhibition game versus Wisconsin-Parkside, which is included in the Carver Arena season-ticket package. Tickets for the Nov. 12 game versus Texas-Pan American are $20 for the general public, $15 for Carver Arena season-ticket holders, $10 for Bradley faculty and staff and $1 for Bradley students.
The FAN-tastic 4-Pack is a four-game package of games to include the Nov. 9 regular-season opener versus Eastern Illinois, the Dec. 1 game versus Michigan, the Jan. 6 game versus Wichita State and the Jan. 29 game against Interstate 74 rival Illinois State. The FAN-tastic 4-Pack is available in lower bowl ($60) and upper bowl ($35) locations and remains the only option to purchase tickets in advance for the Michigan and Illinois State home games.
Purchases for any of the men’s basketball events that go on sale Friday may be made in person at the Renaissance Coliseum box office or by contacting the ticket office at 309-677-2625. The ticket office will open at 9 a.m. Friday.
The schedule of athletics activities begins at 3 p.m. Friday with the start of the ninth annual men’s and women’s cross country Bradley Classic at nearby Newman Golf Course. The meet will include 23 men’s teams and 27 women’s programs with runners competing in four separate races.
Athletics-related activities will move back to campus Friday at 5 o’clock for the unveiling of the A.J. Robertson Memorial Statue in the turnaround of Robertson Court (formerly Maplewood Ave.) outside the men’s basketball entrance to Renaissance Coliseum.
The multi-sport “Cram the Coliseum” event will follow at 6 p.m. Friday and will begin with the volleyball team’s match versus Missouri Valley Conference rival Southern Illinois. Immediately following the volleyball match, the Bradley men’s and women’s basketball teams will make their on-court public debut in the annual Red-White Scrimmage. Tickets for “Cram the Coliseum” are $6 for the general public and free for Bradley University students, faculty and staff and include admission to all three games.
Evansville will be the opponent for both of Saturday’s athletics events: first at 4 p.m. in volleyball action at Renaissance Coliseum, then on the pitch at 6:30 p.m. in Valley soccer action at Shea Stadium. The soccer game versus the Purple Aces will be followed by a fireworks show.
In addition, several teams are hosting alumni events this weekend and the schedule of activities Saturday includes alumni games for soccer (10 a.m. at Shea Stadium), softball (11 a.m. at Bradley Park), volleyball (11 a.m. at Renaissance Coliseum) and baseball (11 a.m. Home Run Derby, 1 p.m. game at Peoria Chiefs Stadium).
