PEORIA, Ill. – Sophomore Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) is tied for second and the Bradley men's golf team is fifth in the team standings after two rounds of play at the Bradley Invitational Saturday.

The Braves shot a 301 in the second round at the par-72 WeaverRidge Golf Club for the lowest afternoon score of the day and find themselves fifth in the team standings with a two-round score of 614.  Bradley, which is playing its only home tournament of the 2012-13 season, heads into Sunday's final round three shots out of third and 11 shots behind first-place Valparaiso (603).

Bradley had three individuals close the day in the top 10 in the individual standings, led by Trolia's 36-hole score of 150.  Trolia is tied for second in the field after rounds of 76 and 74, ending the day three shots behind individual leader Joe Harris of Valparaiso (147).

Fellow sophomore Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) matched Trolia's second-round 74 with one of his own for the lowest round of the day by a BU individual.  Masrin is two shots back of Trolia in a tie for sixth at 152 (78-74).

Junior Andrew Weisenborn (Columbia, Ill./Columbia) is also in the top 10, firing rounds of 77 and 76 to finish Saturday's action tied for 10th (153).  Fellow junior Kyle Gunther (Dunlap, Ill./Peoria Christian) followed up an opening round 82 and with a 77 and will begin the final round in 27th at 159.  Daniel Young (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) closed out the team scoring for the Braves in 31st at 163, shooting scores of 83 and 80.

Senior Corey Verseman (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) and freshman Garrett Cox (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) are both in the field as individuals for BU and are tied for 22nd (157).  Verseman carded a season-best 76 in the afternoon after a first-round 81, while Cox followed up an opening-round 80 with a 77 in the second round.

Valparaiso got off to a strong start, firing a five-over par 293 in the morning despite windy conditions.  The Crusaders shot a 310 in the afternoon to close the day with a 603 score and six-shot lead on second-place Loyola-Chicago (609).  Valparaiso's second team is third in the team standings at 611, with Green Bay following in fourth (613).  Bradley is fifth in the team standings (614) and Chicago State completes the field in sixth at 705.
