PEORIA, Ill. – Freshman Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb. (Doniphan-Trumbull) claimed individual medalist honors by an impressive seven strokes and a shorthanded Bradley women's golf team held on to win the team title at the Bradley Invitational Sunday.

Lemek joined former Bradley standout Meaghan LeBlanc as the only players in program history to win medalist honors at three tournaments in the same season, running away with top individual honors with a three-round total of 223.  LeBlanc, who was a three-time medalist in 2005-06 and four-time medalist in her career, and Kelly Dillon are the only other players besides Lemek in school history who have three career medalist honors to their name.

Bradley shot 308 Sunday to close out play and win the squad's first team title since the 2010 Butler Fall Invitational.  Sophomore Thea Hedemann (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Walter Murray) missed the final two rounds of play due to injury, but BU's final-round 308 was the second-lowest round of the day.

Western Illinois fired the best round of the tournament Sunday, closing action with a 305, but finished five shots behind Bradley in second at 954.  South Carolina-Upstate was third at 960, while Missouri Valley Conference foes Indiana State and Northern Iowa both tied for fourth at 971.  Illinois-Chicago was sixth at 1,033 with Bradley's Red squad (7th – 1,040) and the Western Illinois-Gold (8th – 1,042) team completing the field, respectively.

Freshman Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) tied for 12th in the field at 243 as she closed out play with a final-round 80.  Sophomore Christie Lin (Calgary, Alberta/Sir John G Diefenbaker) shot the lowest round of the day for BU, with a two-over 74 to tie for 14th at 245.  Freshman Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect, Ill./Mt. Prospect) closed out the team scoring with a 79 and tied for 17th at 249.

Bradley's Red Team was led by sophomore Cassandra Marschall (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield/Wisconsin-Green Bay) and freshman Lindsey Levin (Chicago, Ill./The Latin School).  Marschall shot a 78, while Levin carded a final-round 84 as the duo tied with Walsh for 17th at 249.  Senior Lauren Niemiera (Orland Park, Ill./Marist) shot a career-low 84 in the final home round of her career, placing 36th overall (270).  Sophomore Katarina Mangieri (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) rounded action for the Red Team with a third-round 86 and finished 37th  (272).

The Bradley women's golf team plays its final tournament before the Missouri Valley Conference Championship (April 21-23) at the Indiana Invitational April 13 & 14 in Bloomington, Ind.
