GLENVIEW, Ill. -- Sophomore Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) fired a season-best, one-under 71 and helped the Bradley men's golf team shoot a final-round 294 as the Braves finished in a tie with Northern Illinois for 10th at the Kemper Intercollegiate Tuesday in the squad's final tournament before the Missouri Valley Conference Championship in two weeks.

Trolia was one of three Bradley individuals to shoot 73 or better at the par-72 Glen Club Tuesday, helping Bradley shoot a final-round 294.  The six-over par 294 was the lowest round shot by the Braves at a tournament site other than WeaverRidge Golf Club, since firing a 294 at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate on Oct. 2, 2011 and was the squad's second-lowest round of the year behind the team's final round 282 at last week's Bradley Invitational.

Bradley's top finisher in five of eight tournament this season, Trolia shot a season-best score in each of the last two rounds of play at the Kemper Intercollegiate, culminating with a season-best one-under 71 Tuesday to tie for 22nd in the final individual standings at 222 to pace the Braves.  Junior Daniel Young (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) matched his second round score with a one-over 73 in the final round to finish seven shots behind Trolia in a tie for 48th (229).

Junior Kyle Gunther (Dunlap, Ill./Peoria Christian) turned in his best round of the tournament, carding a one-over 73 as he tied for 54th in the 78-person field with a total of 232.  Sophomore Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) tied for 57th with a total of 233 after final-round 80, while junior Andrew Weisenborn (Columbia, Ill./Columbia) improved his scoring in each of the three rounds, shooting his eighth consecutive sub-80 round with a 77 Tuesday to finish 60th at 234.

Tournament-host Northwestern ran away with the team title, finishing with a 20-under par score of 844 to top second-place Ohio State (856) by 12 shots.  Illinois State was third in the standings at 881, with St. John's (4th - 887) and DePaul (5th - 890) rounding out the top five, respectively.

IUPUI was eight shots better than Bradley in sixth at 900 to edge seventh-place finisher Marquette (902).  Ohio was also close behind in eighth at 903.  Western Illinois was two shots ahead of the Braves and Northern Illinois which tied for 10th (908).  Bradley finished eight shots better than 12th-place Dayton (916), with Loyola-Chicago (13th – 917) and Chicago State (14th – 1,076) completing the field.

The Bradley men's golf team travels to Cape Girardeau, Mo., for the Missouri Valley Conference Championship April 29 & 30.
