PEORIA, Ill. - Freshmen Ariel Dechter and Ashley Thai both earned 3-set victories, but their results were not enough to lift the Bradley women's tennis team to a win in its regular-season finale Saturday afternoon at David Markin Tennis Courts.

Evansville (8-12, 2-4 MVC) earned a 5-2 win against the Braves (4-16, 0-6 MVC) to move into a tie for fourth in the final league standings.

Dechter and Thai both earned their first career Valley singles victories Saturday: Dechter wtih a 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 win against Natasha James at No. 2 singles and Thai with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 win against Marina Moreno at No. 3 singles.

The Missouri Valley Conference Tennis Championships will begin Friday at Illinois State.
