SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Junior Mackenzie Camp (Mapleton, Ill./Limestone) tossed a complete game shutout and senior Jackie Roth (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) went 2-for-3 with two RBI to help power Bradley to a 5-0 victory over Missouri State Saturday at Killian Stadium.

The Braves (15-20 overall, 5-7 MVC) used a four-run second inning and added a run in the fourth to top the Lady Bears (17-16 overall, 5-7 MVC) and take two out of three in the season series.  BU moved into a tie for sixth with Missouri State in the regular-season MVC standings with the win.

After a two home run game Friday afternoon, freshman Alyson Clemente (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) got things started for Bradley with a single to lead off the top of the second inning.  Sophomore Alex Chandler (Needles, Calif./Needles) later drove her in from third with an RBI single and sophomore Brianne Joseph (Post Falls, Idaho/Post Falls) scored on a Missouri State error to give Bradley a 2-0 lead.

Roth delivered the big blow in the inning with a two-run single to right center, plating Chandler and sophomore Mariah Cole (Springfield, Ill./Chatham Glenwood) to push the Braves advantage to 4-0.

Camp pitched out of a jam in the third after giving up three singles, but the Bears left the bases loaded and Bradley added an insurance run in the top of the fourth to take a 5-0 lead.  Joseph led off the inning with a single and scored her second run of the game on MSU's second error in the contest.

Missouri State had runners at first and second with one out in the bottom of the sixth, but Camp retired the next two batters she faced and sat the Bears down in order in the seventh to close out her second complete-game shutout of the year to improve to 5-7 with the win.

Bradley continues a six-game Missouri Valley Conference road swing next weekend with a three-game series at Indiana State Saturday and Sunday.
