INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Freshman Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) claimed medalist honors and the Bradley women's golf team finished second at the Butler Fall Classic Tuesday at the par-70 Highland Country Club.

Lemek, who matched her first round score of 72 during Tuesday's round, is the first BU individual to win medalist honors since Breanne Neufeld won the Saluki Invitational in March 2011.  Lemek's two-round total of 144 was three shots better than second-place finisher Yuri Otsuka of IUPUI.

Bradley finished second in the 11-team field with a 36-hole score of 613, finishing 13 shots behind team champion Bowling Green (600).  The Braves second-round 308 was the second-best round of the day, behind Bowling Green's 300.

Sophomore Christie Lin (Calgary, Alberta/Sir John G Diefenbaker) matched her season-low round with a second-round 76 to finish eighth overall at 152.  The top-10 finish was the third of Lin's career.

Junior Cassandra Marschall (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield/Wisconsin-Green Bay) followed up a first-round 79 with the same score Tuesday and tied for 19th (158) in the final standings.  Sophomore Thea Hedemann (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Walter Murray) was one shot behind Marschall in a tie for 26th at 159, shooting an 81 Tuesday.

Freshman Allison Walsh (Mt. Prospect/Mt. Prospect) wrapped up the team scoring for the Braves with a final-round 82 and tied for 33rd at 162, while fellow freshman Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights) was in the field as an individual and fired a season-best 76 to tie for 19th at 158 for her first career top-20 finish.

Bradley edged third-place finisher IUPUI (617) by four shots and the Braves were nine shots better than fourth-place Indiana State (622).  Eastern Illinois was fifth at 629 and tournament-host Butler took sixth at 634.  Cleveland State was one shot back in seventh (635) and Missouri Valley Conference rival Evansville was eighth at 637.  Loyola followed in ninth at 638, with Valparaiso (10th - 664) and Wisconsin-Green Bay (11th - 684) completing the field.

Bradley closes out the fall schedule Oct. 21-23 at the Pat Bradley Invitational in Sarasota, Fla.
