Both Bradley and Drake played that Jan. 16 game without their scoring leaders: Daniel Ruffin missed his sixth consecutive game following sports hernia surgery and Drake’s Josh Young was out with a sprained ankle.
Although Ruffin returned to the lineup eight games ago, Bradley likely will be without its third-leading scorer for Tuesday’s rematch against the Bulldogs.
Sophomore guard Andrew Warren, who is averaging 13.1 points per game, suffered a spiral fracture of the second metacarpal bone (index finger) in his left (non-shooting) hand during the second half of Saturday’s game versus Creighton and is scheduled to have a stabilizing plate inserted in his hand Monday.
His status for the remainder of the season will be evaluated on a game-to-game basis.

Of the states that boast multiple NCAA Division I institutions, Bradley has not swept every Division I team a state has to offer since beating both Arizona (67-59) and Arizona State (92-85) during the 1963-64 season (Northern Arizona was not yet playing Division I men’s basketball at the time).
Senior point guard Daniel Ruffin missed the first seven games of The Valley schedule following his surgery Dec. 28 to repair a sports hernia and the Braves went 2-5 in those games.

After dishing out 16 assists in Bradley’s two games last week, Bradley senior point guard Daniel Ruffin continues to lead the nation’s active players with 592 career assists.
Already boasting 1,165 career points, Ruffin needs just eight more assists to become the second player in both school and Missouri Valley Conference history to score at least 1,100 points and dish at least 600 assists.
Former Bradley point guard Anthony Manuel, the 1989 Valley Player of the Year as a senior, is the only other player in league history to achieve both milestones, finishing with 1,221 points and a league-record 855 assists.
With eight more assists, Ruffin will become the sixth player in Valley history to record 600 career assists.
