GREEN BAY, Wis. - Senior Emily Regenold (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton H.S.) and freshman Kennedy Scott (Calgary, Alberta/National Sports School) earned singles wins for Bradley, but the Braves dropped their season-opening match at Wisconsin-Green Bay 5-2 Saturday afternoon.

Regenold defeated Jennifer Bradfield in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, in No. 2 singles, while Scott won her No. 5 singles match 6-3, 6-3 over Rebecca Nelson. Junior Nicole Miller (Glendale Heights, Ill./Glenbard West H.S.) took the first set of her No. 1 singles match 7-6 (9), but fell to Emily Lawent 7-5, 10-8. In No. 3 singles, senior Kelly Donohue (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) also won her first set 6-3, but Morgan Weuve rallied for a 6-1, 6-3 win.

Senior Jessica Buterbaugh (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Chaparral H.S.) lost her No. 4 singles match to Laura Bartingale 6-4, 6-3, while freshman Brigitte Graf (Double Oak, Texas/Faustina Academy) fell to Lauryn Grimando 6-1, 6-0 in No. 6 singles.

Green Bay took two-of-three doubles matches, with Bradley's lone win coming in the two slot as Buterbaugh/Donohue edged Lawent/Nelson 9-8 (7).

The Braves will return to action tomorrow with a 1 p.m. match at Valparaiso.
