PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior lefthander Joe Bircher (5-3) matched his career-high by striking out 10 Evansville hitters in his first complete game of the season, leading host Bradley to a 3-2 win in the opening game of the Missouri Valley Conference series at O'Brien Field.

After Bircher's gem led to a 2-hour, 2-minute opener, the second game of Saturday's evening doubleheader will begin at approximately 8:35 p.m.

Rallying from a pair of 1-run deficits, Bradley got the winning run in the seventh when second baseman David Compitello led off with a bunt single, took second on a sacrifice bunt and third on a wild pitch, before scoring on Jerrod Eigsti's ground out.

Bradley's 12th come-from-behind win of the season ended a season-long 5-game losing streak.
