Was 6-for-17 (.353) in consecutive MVC Friday night games versus Wichita State's Cole Elam (1-4), Missouri State's Nick Petree (2-3, HR); Illinois State's Chris Razo (2-5) and Southern Illinois' Cody Forsythe (1-5) ... Enjoyed a pair of 4-hit gamed during his freshman year, March 17, 2013 at Lipscomb (4-5) and April 2, 2013 versus Eureka (4-6).

A four-year varsity letterwinner, Sponsler was a 2-time Perfect Game All-American for the Red Devils ... Was the Speed champion during the PNC Missouri/Illinois All-Star Game at Busch Stadium ... Earning all-conference honors for the second straight year, Sponsler hit .481 with eight doubles, five triples and four home runs, while adding 31 RBI's and 17 stolen bases in 2012 at Chaminade.

The son of Brian and Vangie Sponsler, Nolan was born Nov. 6, 1993 in Greenville, S.C. ... Provided more than 250 hours of community service in high school to various organizations, including Special Olympics, Youth in Need and Queen of Peace.
