The Department of Athletics invites applications in a national search for the position of Head Women's Tennis Coach.
This full-time position is responsible for leading, managing, organizing and administering all phases of the tennis program in accordance with NCAA and Missouri Valley Conference rules and regulations. The Head Coach must have a philosophy that maintains a competitive Division I program emphasizing integrity and a championship mind set while valuing the educational and personal welfare of its student-athletes. Additional responsibilities also include coaching effectively in practice and competition, energetic and engaged recruiting, scheduling and budget management, participating in promotional and fundraising activities, developing community and alumni support. The position may include additional opportunities at the Country Club of Peoria serving as the Club's tennis professional.

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience required. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to recruit, lead, motivate and develop student-athletes; excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; a commitment to excellence and sensitivity to cultural differences. Proficiency with computer applications, general office software and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required. CPR certification is required within 30 days of hire.
