Nate Wells To Visit Brazil With AIA

PEORIA, Ill. - Nate Wells (Davenport, Iowa/Davenport West H.S.), who redshirted his freshman season at Bradley in 2011-12, will make his competitive return to the court in Brazil next month when he participates in a missionary trip with Athletes in Action.

The tallest player in the 10-team Missouri Valley Conference, the 7-foot-1 Wells will report to the Athletes in Action training camp in Covington, Ind., July 9 and the team will travel to coastal city of Recife, Brazil for its 13-day mission trip from July 14-26.

Wells was a 3-year varsity letterwinner at Davenport West High School and earned Iowa third-team all-state honors as a senior in 2010-11 when he averaged 12.1 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocked shots per game.  Including 113 rejections during his junior season, Wells blocked 294 shots in his three varsity seasons.
