WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- Freshman women's golfer Jenna Roadley (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Sturgeon Heights Collegiate School) continued her strong play, claiming medalist honors at last week's Manitoba Women's Junior Championship by 16 shots.

After opening play with an 80 at the John Blumberg Golf Course, Roadley shot 80 Thursday at the par-72 St. Charles Country Club and had a one-shot lead on second-place finisher Nicole McGlenen heading into the third and final round.  Roadley carded a three-under par 69 Friday to wrap up play and finish 16 shots ahead of McGlenen and Dana Todd, who both tied for second at 245.

Roadley fired a 66 early this summer and will join fellow incoming BU freshman Danielle Lemek (Doniphan, Neb./Doniphan-Trumbull) in the 2012 Optimist International Junior Golf Championships later this month (July 24-29) in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
