This Week in Bradley Athletics

Bradley's first outside competition of the 2012-13 athletic year and a pair of Community Night events highlight this week's schedule.  The first Community Night event will precede Tuesday night's soccer exhibition game versus Dayton at McClallen Park in Morton, where the Braves hosted home games during the 2001 and 2002 seasons as Shea Stadium was being re-constructed.  Admission is free for both events Tuesday night.

Wednesday's Peoria Chiefs Midwest League baseball game at Peoria Chiefs Stadium will be the site of Wednesday night's Community Night event.  Discounted tickets are available online at PeoriaChiefs.com by using the promo code BRADLEY and it will be $1 Night at Peoria Chiefs Stadium, where hot dogs, soda and ice cream sandwiches will be available for $1 each.

Each Community Night event will allow fans to interact with Bradley student-athletes, coaches and staff in an informal setting.  The soccer (6-6:30 p.m.) and volleyball (6:30-7) teams will be available for autographs Tuesday night prior to the game and the speaking program will include soccer head coach Jim DeRose, volleyball head coach Jenny Maurer, men's basketball head coach Geno Ford, women's basketball coach Michael Brooks and Director of Athletics Dr. Michael Cross.  Brooks will throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to Wednesday night's baseball game.
