PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley women's golfers Katarina Mangieri (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg), Cassandra Marschall (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield/Wisconsin-Green Bay) and Lauren Niemiera (Orland Park, Ill./Marist) along with men's golfer Daniel Young (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) assisted with the Susan G. Komen Memorial Affiliate's second-annual Golf for the Cure event earlier this week.
Niemiera, who interned with the Komen Memorial Affiliate during the summer of 2011, and her teammates volunteered at the event selling pink lemonade on the course, helping the Golf for the Cure event raise over $10,000 Tuesday at Metamora Fields Golf Club.
Young put his driving skills to use, with foursomes able to make a donation to use Young's tee shots on some of the course's most difficult holes.
