Bradley to Air 2 Games on Comcast SportsNet
Release: Friday 10/25/2012

PEORIA, Ill. – The number of Bradley men’s basketball games to be televised during the 2012-13 season continues to grow.  For the first time in the program’s history, Bradley will begin producing games this season and will air two games on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

Employing ScheffTech Productions for the two telecasts, Bradley will air the Nov. 17 game at IUPUI and the Jan. 15 home game versus Southern Illinois in high definition on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

Thursday’s announcement follows the release of the Missouri Valley Conference package of telecasts on MVC-TV and the ESPN family of networks, a collection that will include at least six Bradley games:  Dec. 1 versus Michigan (ESPNU), Jan. 6 against Wichita State (ESPNU), Jan. 12 at UNI (MVC-TV), Jan. 29 versus Illinois State (MVC-TV), Feb. 10 versus UNI (either ESPNU or ESPN3) and the first three rounds of the MVC Men’s Basketball Championship in St. Louis (MVC-TV).  The Braves could make two more appearances in The Valley’s package: Feb. 23 in the BracketBusters series (ESPN family) and March 2 at Missouri State during MVC Wildcard Weekend (MVC-TV or ESPN2).

For the two games being produced by Bradley for Comcast SportsNet Chicago, Brian Bedo (play-by-play) and former Brave Danny Adams will describe the action.  Bedo is a 2007 Bradley graduate who began his broadcasting career by calling soccer, volleyball, women’s basketball, baseball and softball games for  The 2005-06 Charley Steiner Intern for the Office of Athletics Communications, Bedo served as studio host for UIC basketball broadcasts on ESPN 1000 during the 2010-11 season and currently is working for both WGN Radio and Mediacom.  He has provided play-by-play for numerous Bradley events since his graduation, including the WTVP telecast of the 2011 NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship first-round win against Loyola Chicago.  He also twice has been hired by Wofford to call six games for the Terriers’ radio network broadcasts in Illinois and Wisconsin in 2009 and 2011.

Adams played at Bradley from 2003-07, helping the Braves to the 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 and the second round of the 2007 NIT in his final two seasons.  Adams served as the lead analyst for Bradley Basketball radio broadcasts on 1470 WMBD the last two seasons, but growing work commitments with Stryker did not allow him to commit to the full-season radio broadcast schedule this winter.

Comcast SportsNet Chicago is available locally on Comcast cable channels 56 and 922 (HD), Mediacom cable channels 32 and 732 (HD), DirecTV channel 665 and Dish Network channel 429.
