IOWA CITY, IOWA. –Ahmed Albitar and Juan Diego Cuadrado both earned victories in their singles matches but it was not enough as Bradley (1-1) lost 5-2 to Iowa (1-1), Friday afternoon at the Hawkeye Tennis Center.

The Braves feel behind early after being swept in the doubles matches and dropping the first two in singles play. But then Bradley began to rally.

Albitar earned his second victory of the spring with a 6-3, 6-4 win at #3 singles over Garrett Dunn. Cuadrado then earned a 7-6, 6-1 win over Juan Estensorro at #4 singles.

The Braves came close to pulling off the comeback but Ashton Kalhorn and Justin Abrams both lost their matches in three sets.

Bradley will make a quick turnaround and host UMKC Sunday at noon at the Clubs at River City. Admission is free for Bradley Tennis home matches.
