HINSDALE, Ill. – Bradley junior Arthur Romanet won the night’s deciding match, lifting the Braves (3-1) to a 4-3 dual match victory at Illinois-Chicago (2-6) Saturday night at the Hinsdale Racquet Club.

Bradley started the contest on a high note by winning the first two doubles matches to earn the evening’s first point.   Justin Abrams and Juan Diego Cuadrado cruised to an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Romanet teamed with Michael Davis for an 8-2 triumph at No. 3 doubles.

Cuadrado added a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 Singles, while Davis gave Bradley its third point with a 7-6 (4), 6-3 victory at No. 6 Singles.  While UIC earned victories at Nos. 1, 4 and 5 Singles to pull even, Romanet closed out the match with a 7-6 (5), 6-2 win at No. 2 singles.

The Braves will have little time to celebrate, returning to action Sunday with a pair of matches in Milwaukee, at 11 a.m. against host Marqutte and at 3 p.m. versus South Dakota State, both at the Helfaer Tennis and Rec Center.
