PEORIA, Ill. – The Bradley women’s tennis team split a pair of dual matches Saturday at the Clubs at River City, starting the day with a 7-0 sweep against Valparaiso before dropping a 6-1 decision to Milwaukee.

The Braves (4-4) dominated Valparaiso (1-7) from the beginning, clinching the doubles point with a pair of 8-2 victories from the combos of Adele Henke/Corey Mattson (No. 1) and Carly Miles/Kennedy Scott (No. 2).  The duo of Elizabeth Przystawski/Sarah Rodefeld completed the doubles sweep with an 8-5 win at No. 3.

Bradley carried the momentum over to singles action, winning six sets by 6-0 scores.  Rodefeld (No. 2), Scott (No. 5) and Jessie Bertino (No. 6) all swept through their singles matches without losing a game to clinch the win.  Henke added a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, while Przystawski (No. 3) and Miles (No. 4) each won 3-set matches.

Rodefeld managed the only point in the nightcap against Milwaukee (5-5) by earning a 3-set win at No. 2 singles.

The Braves will close out a 3-match weekend by hosting Eastern Illinois in a 2 p.m. match Sunday at the Clubs at River City.
