OMAHA, Neb. – Bradley senior Juan Diego Cuadrado became the fourth player in Bradley men’s tennis history to win 70 career singles matches, leading the Braves (13-9) to a 6-1 victory at Omaha (5-16) Friday night at the Hanscom Tennis Center.
The Braves started off the final weekend of the regular season in dominating fashion, sweeping through the three doubles matches for the first point, then taking then quickly securing their 13th win of the year by taking the first four singles matches in straight sets.
Cuadrado earned a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles to push his career record to 70-64. His 70 career singles wins are the most by a Brave since Mike Berwald set the school’s career mark with 79 singles wins from 1988-91. Cuadrado can move into a tie for third with one more win.
Bradley will conclude the regular season with matches Saturday at Creighton and Sunday at Drake.
