ST. LOUIS – Bradley sophomore Carly Miles (Greentown, Ind./Eastern H.S.) earned honorable mention Missouri Valley Conference Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete recoginition, according to an announcement from the league office late Thursday night.
Miles is the first Bradley women’s tennis player to earn MVC Scholar-Athlete recognition since 2010. Sporting a 3.78 cumulative grade point average as a health science major, Miles has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during each of her first three semesters, including a perfect 4.0 during the 2012 Fall term.
On the court, Miles has helped the Braves to their best season in 20 years. She is second on the team with 13 singles victories, including a 5-4 record at No. 4 singles this spring. Miles also leads the Braves with 16 doubles victories.
Bradley (9-16) currently is in action versus top-seeded Wichita State in the first round of the 2013 MVC Women’s Tennis Championship at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kan.
