PEORIA, Ill. – The Bradley Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams officially will open their 2013-14 seasons the first week of November, but fans will get two opportunities for sneak peaks at both teams during a pair of popular preseason events. The Bradley Spaghetti Supper is slated for Oct. 4 and the Bradley Basketball Red-White Scrimmage Oct. 18, both on campus at Renaissance Coliseum.
Held in the Renaissance Coliseum Basketball Performance Center Oct. 4, doors will open at 5 p.m. for the Spaghetti Supper and the event will include dinner, the introduction of the Bradley Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, a speaking program featuring head coaches Geno Ford and Michael Brooks, the opportunity to mingle with the student-athletes and coaches from both programs throughout the evening and raffles for Bradley apparel and memorabilia. The first 100 children (eighth grade and younger) in attendance will receive complimentary autograph books, and as an added bonus, Spaghetti Supper attendees will receive free admission to that night’s Bradley Volleyball home game versus Missouri Valley Conference rival Indiana State.
Tickets for the Spaghetti Supper will go on sale Monday, in person at the Renaissance Coliseum Ticket Office or by contacting the Bradley Men’s Basketball Office at 309-677-2668 and prices are $15 for adults; $12 for Braves Club members; $8 for Bradley University students and children ages 14 and under; and $5 for Little Braves Club members. Bradley students may utilize Quick Cash when purchasing Spaghetti Supper tickets at the Renaissance Coliseum Ticket Office. Membership in the Little Braves Club for children in eighth grade and younger is free and membership registration forms are available online at BradleyBraves.com and at the Renaissance Coliseum Ticket Office.
Both the Bradley Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams will participate in the Red-White Scrimmage Oct. 18 at Renaissance Coliseum in a featured event during the University’s annual Homecoming weekend. The event is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and will include the introduction of the two teams, intrasquad scrimmages and interactive fan contests.
Tickets for the Red-White Scrimmage will go on sale Sept. 23 at the Renaissance Coliseum box office and will be $5 for the general public and free for Bradley University students, faculty and staff.
