PEORIA, Ill. - Forced by inclement weather to move indoors, the Bradley men’s tennis team was defeated 7-0 by Drake at the Clubs at River City North in its final tune-up before the Missouri Valley Conference Championships.

After agreeing to play the singles portion of the match first due to the potential of wet conditions on a few of the courts later in the day, the Bulldogs (19-5, 3-0 MVC) quickly took control by sweeping through the six matches.

The Braves (3-18, 0-4 MVC) tried to salvage the doubles point, but Drake dominated their way to a sweep of the doubles.

Before the match, head coach Tim Gray honored seniors Justin Abrams, Ashton Kalhorn, Arthur Romanet and Hamish Weerasinghe as they played their final career home match.

The Braves will take the next 12 days off before competing again at the 2014 Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Tennis Championships in Normal, Ill.
