2009 (Fourth-Year Junior):  After overcoming an early-season oblique injury, Scahill finished strong and was particularly dominant at home ... In four starts at O'Brien Field, Scahill was 3-0 with a 0.86 earned run average ... Tossed a four-hit shutout, his first career complete game, in a 1-0 victory versus Southern Illinois May 1 at O'Brien Field ... Tied the O'Brien Field record for strikeouts by a college or professional pitcher by fanning 12 Evansville hitters in 8.2 innings April 18.

 

2008 (Redshirt Sophomore):  After missing the entire 2007 season as a medical redshirt, Scahill started fast in 2008 by winning his first three starts in dominating fashion ... In his first start of the year Feb. 23 at Murray State, Scahill allowed a swinging bunt single to the leadoff hitter, but did not allow another hit in his 6.0 scoreless innings ... In his second start March 2 at Eastern Kentucky, Scahill went the first 5.2 innings without allowing a hit before surrendering an infield single to breakup the no-hit bid ... In those first two starts, Scahill tossed 11.2 consecutive hitless innings without allowing a run, while striking out 16 ... Fanned a career-high 10 hitters March 28 versus Indiana State ... With 79 strikeouts in a staff-high 83.2 innings, Scahill averaged 8.5 strikeouts per nine innings ... The opposition hit just .244 against Scahill, easily the lowest opponent batting average on the staff.

 

2007 (Sophomore):  Sat out the entire season as a medical redshirt.

 

2006 (Freshman):  Used primarily as a midweek starter, Scahill racked up 71.0 innings during his freshman season ... In one of his two Missouri Valley Conference starts, Scahill showed his potential by allowing just two runs, one earned, in 6.0 innings of a no-decision april 23 at Wichita State ... Twice struck out a season-high seven batters, first in 8.0 innings of scoreless work April 18 versus Saint Francis (Ill.) and again in 7.0 innings of scorless work May 16 versus Eastern Illinois.

 

High School:  Played baseball, basketball and football at Willowbrook ... On the diamond, Scahill was an honorable mention all-state pick after helping Willowbrook to the regional finals ... He hit .480 with two home runs and 22 RBI’s his senior season in 2005 ... Named the 2005 Villa Park Argus Player of the Year.

 

Personal:  The son of Joe and Bonnie Scahill, Rob was born Feb. 15, 1987 in DuPage, Ill. ... The oldest of three siblings, Rob has a younger brother, Dan (20), and a younger sister, Jen (18) ... Majoring in adminstration of criminal justice.
