2005 Season (Freshman): One of two players to start all 51 games, she led the team with 30 runs scored and five triples ... Drew a team-best 15 base on balls and was second on the team with 44 hits ... Her five triples were the most by a Bradley player since 2000 and tied for the sixth best season total in school history ... Had 10 multi-hit games on the year, including a 4-for-4 performance against Eastern Illinois that included two doubles and three runs scored ... After a 1-for-12 start to the year, she hit .301 the remainder of the season and had three four-game hit streaks, including a 9-for-16 stretch late in the year ... Pitched in 15 games, making 13 starts in the circle ... Went 3-8, picking up her first career win in the Braves 11-3 victory over Central Florida ... High School: A three-time all-state selection by the Illinois Coaches Association, Molly helped lead Geneseo to an 89-20 (.817) record over the last three years and a total of 121 victories during her four-year career as a Lady Leaf ... A two-time team MVP, she garnered all-conference honors three times and was also a three-time pick for the Quad Cities all-Metro team ... As a senior she posted a 22-3 record in the circle to go along with an 0.87 ERA ... She also had school season records with a .527 batting average and 51 runs scored as Geneseo went 36-3 in 2004 en route to its third consecutive conference, regional and sectional titles ... She holds 12 school records including career marks for victories (56), saves (6), batting average (.482), triples (10), walks (48) and stolen bases (33) ... Molly also owns season records for hits (58), runs (51), batting average (.527), triples (8) and walks (22) ... As a junior she earned a 17-9 record and had a 0.97 ERA, while hitting .412 ... Her final career record in the circle was an impressive 56-16 and she had a 0.88 career ERA with 418 strikeouts and 23 shutouts .
Personal: The daughter of Pam and Kevin Bergeson, Molly was born Oct. 17, 1985 in Silvis, Ill. ... Plans to major in psychology ... High school coach Bob Pettit is the father of BU and Geneseo teammate Joanna Pettit ... Younger sister Emily is a freshman member of the softball team ... Also has a youngers sisther, Maggie (14) ...
