At Bradley
Gifford led the Bradley staff with 25 appearances in 2011, the second-most pitching appearances in a season in school history and the most-ever in a relief role....Assumed the role of closer to start the 2012 season has responded by going 4-2 with six saves in his 22 appearances. His six saves are the third-best single-season total in school history and two shy of teammate Justin Ziegler's 2011 school record.
Wabash Valley College
Posted a 9-2 record in 2010, finishing with a 4.70 ERA ... In 62.0 innings pitched in 2010, Gifford struck out 51 and walked just 10 ... Teamed with fellow Bradley hurler Tory Doerr, helping the Warriors to a #5 preseason national ranking and a 51-10 final record, finishing just one game shy of the NJCAA World Series.
High School
A two-time, first-team all-conference pitcher at Highland High School, Gifford also added first-team all-metro and all-area honors as a senior in 2008 ... As a senior, Gifford went 10-0 on the mound with a 2.21 ERA and hit .371 with eight home runs and 47 RBI's ... Also was a two-year varsity basketball letterwinner, earning second-team all-conference honors as a senior while helping the Bulldogs to a conference title.

The son of Jim and Barb Gifford, Danny was born Feb. 8, 1990 in Belleville, Ill. ... Has a younger brother, Justin (18).
