Singh's first two years were marred by injuries as each was cut short ... Played in five games in the 2004-05 season before receiving a medical redshirt due to shoulder surgery and seven games in 2005-06 before undergoing season-ending knee surgery as the result of an injury sustained during practice at Carver Arena ... Had a second knee surgery in the spring of 2006, but his rehab work put him in position for a potential return to action during the 2006-07 season-opener versus DePaul ... During his high school career, Singh helped Ozark H.S. to third-place finishes in the Missouri Class 4 state tournament in 2001 and 2004, sandwiched around a state championship during his junior year in 2003 ... An all-state pick his senior year, Singh averaged 20.7 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per game during the 2003-04 season.
