Career Notes
Dunson is a two-time candidate for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award and is a 2011 finalist.

2010-11 5th-Year Senior
Due to injuries to Sam Maniscalco and Dyricus Simms-Edwards, Dunson was moved to point guard for the Dec. 8 game at #1 Duke .... After a cold Valley start, Dunson has averaged 11.3 points on 50 percent shooting in his last 15 games .... Equalled his career-high with 21 points Jan 12 versus Indiana State and scored 20 Feb. 9 at Missouri State .... Missed the Feb 19 game at UT-Martin due to a knee injury, but appeared back at full strength in the regular-season finale versus Drake with 17 points, seven assists, and six rebounds.

2009-10 - Senior
Suffered a pair of broken bones in his left forearm midway through the second half Nov. 15 versus Idaho State and missed the rest of the season.

2008-09 - Junior
Although in his first year at Bradley, Dunson was voted a co-captain (Sam Maniscalco) in the preseason ... His 21 points Nov. 14 versus UIC were the most points scored by a Brave in his Bradley debut since Phillip Gilbert (23) in 2000 and he became the first newcomer to lead the team in scoring in the season-opener since Anthony Parker (20) in 1993 ... Bradley's third-leading scorer at 10.1 ppg, despite breaking a bone in his right hand Feb. 21 at Loyola ... He played through the injury in seven of the last eight games, averaging 5.3 ppg in those seven games.

2007-08 - at Vincennes University
Transferred to Vincennes for his sophomore season and helped the Trailblazers to a 28-6 overall record and the 2008 NJCAA District 3 Tournament championship ... Averaged 10.7 ppg, 3.6 apg and 3.4 rpg and he shot 35.4 percent from 3-point range.

2006-07 - at Iowa State
Dunson began his college career at Iowa State, where he averaged 5.2 ppg, 1.5 rpg and 1.0 apg and led the Cyclones in free throw percentage (.816) during his freshman season in 2006-07 ... His 30 3-pointers made in 2006-07 represented the fourth-best season total ever by an Iowa State freshman ... During that freshman season, Dunson played against Bradley Dec. 16, 2006 in Des Moines, although his six points, two assists and two rebounds in 26 reserve minutes were not enough to prevent the Braves from earning a 76-66 victory.

At Bloomington H.S.
A first-team all-state pick and McDonald's All-American nominee as a senior in 2005, Dunson helped Bloomington H.S. to a pair of Big 12 Conference titles ... The 2005 Pantagraph High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior, Dunson was a three-time All-Area selection ... Averaged 18 points, six rebounds and five assists during his senior season ... In addition to his four years at Bloomington High School, Dunson attended Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., where he averaged 17.2 ppg, 4.3 apg and 3.8 rpg during the 2005-06 season.

Overcoming Dyslexia
After struggling in the classroom during his first summer on the Bradley campus in 2008, Dunson was diagnosed with a severe form of dyslexia. He has not allowed the learning disability to hinder his academic career, however, and he has overcome the disorder by dedicating himself to his studies. Dunson meets daily with a learning specialist and routinely visits the basketball team's study center for extra study sessions.

Dunson's hard work has paid off.  After earning a 3.5 semester grade point average to earn a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll during his first semester on The Hilltop, Dunson followed by posting a perfect 4.0 GPA during the 2009 and 2010 Spring semesters, helping lift his cumulative Bradley GPA to 3.69 heading into the 2010 Fall term.

His ability to overcome dyslexia, along with his play on the court and infectious personality, made him one of 30 candidates for the 2010 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, before a broken arm two games into the season ended his candidacy.

Personal
The son of Dorian Dunson Sr. and Jaci Dunson, Dodie was born Jan. 6, 1987 in Gardina, Calif. ... Dodie's younger brother, Brandon (21), is a junior guard at Arizona State ... Dodie's father has been featured in a popular YouTube video showcasing his current dunking ability.
