At Bradley
Murphy was the only Bradley player to play in all 55 games during the 2012 season, starting all 55 in center field ... Was on base in each of the first 38 games of his career, enjoying a pair of team-best 11-game hitting streaks during the run ... Made appearances in ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays segment two nights in the row during the 2012 State Farm MVC Tournament:  No. 9 May 22, 2012  with a diving catch in the right centerfield gap in the ninth inning versus Missouri State and No. 6 May 23, 2012 with a running, over-the-shoulder catch on the centerfield warning track in the eighth inning versus Southern Illinois ... His first career hit was a home run Feb. 17, 2012 at Kennesaw State ... Will begin the 2014 season as Bradley's active co-leader with 15 career home runs ... His 72 RBI's through his first two seasons are the most by a Bradley sophomore since all-time school leader Nelson Correa also knocked in 72 runs during the 1996 and 1997 seasons and are tied for the fifth-most by a second-year Bradley sophomore.

Max played baseball, soccer and football at Robbinsdale Cooper High School, where he also plays the alto saxophone in the marching band ,,, Played baseball for head coach Tim Palm, where he earned 5-AAA all-section honors as a freshman in 2008.

The son of Mic and Beth Murphy, Murphy is from Robbinsdale, Minn....Majoring in sociology, Murphy has twice earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
