At Bradley
A versatile utility player, Compitello has started 78 games in his first three seasons with the Braves - 25 at second base, 17 at third base, 22 in the outfield, 14 at shortstop and one as the designated hitter ... A hitless pinch-hit appearance interrupted what would otherwise have been a 8-game hitting streak from March 27-April 17, 2011....With Rob Elliot on the shelf and Curtiss Bunch slumping, Compitello started the last 16 games of the 2012 regular season at third base and responded by hitting a team-best .340 in those games... He was equally impressive defensively, making just three errors at the hot corner in the last 16 games of the 2012 campaign.

High School
Compitello played baseball, basketball and golf at Schaumburg (Ill.) High School ... On the diamond, Compitello hit .405 with four homeruns, 24 RBI's and 23 stolen bases as a senior for coach Paul Groot ... Finished his junior season with a .438 average, nine doubles, 18 RBI's and 12 stolen bases ... Earned all-conference and all-area honors three times and helped the Saxons win two regional championships ... Was a team captain on the basketball court ... Member of the National Honor Society and the honor roll.

The son a Dave and Jill Compitello, David was born Jan. 21, 1991 ... Father attended DePaul University ... Has two half brothers, Norris Bristow (31) and Nick Bristow (27) ... Majoring in communications (sports communication), he has three times earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
