CELINA, Ohio. - Junior outfielder/first baseman Andrew Wasmund (Horicon, Wis./Horicon H.S.) joined the summer baseball collegiate league circuit Tuesday with an assignment to the Grand Lake Mariners in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.

Wasmund becomes the 19th member of the Bradley Baseball program to earn a summer league assignment, joining freshman pitcher David Koll (Licking County Settlers), freshman outfielder Max Murphy (Stark County Terriers) and sophomore catcher Derek Sprout (Licking County) in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.

In his first season with the Braves after transferring from Madison College, Wasmund hit .211 with three home runs during the 2012 season.  He played in 34 games, including 29 starts, splitting his time between the corner outfield positions and first base.

Among the summer highlights for the Braves to date, freshman pitcher Steve Adkins was named the M.I.N.K. Collegiate Baseball League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 4-10.  In four appearances, all starts, Adkins is 2-0 with a 1.66 earned run average, sporting 18 strikeouts in 25.1 innings.

Junior outfielder Mike Tauchman continues to swing a hot bat for Fayetteville in the Coastal Plain League.  Tauchman is the CPL's third-leading hitter with a .365 batting average and he ranks fifth with a .519 slugging percentage.  He also ranks among the league leaders with eight stolen bases.

Freshman second baseman Chris Godinez is batting .324 for the El Dorado Broncos in the Jayhawk Baseball League.  Sprout is batting .348 and has drawn seven walks in seven games for Licking County, where Koll boasts 13 strikeouts in just 8.0 innings on the mound.
