At Bradley
Began the 2012 season as a reserve and then took over as the starting second baseman after Rob Elliot went down with a hamstring injury just before conference play began ... Responded by hitting .462 (6-13) with four stolen bases and four runs scored in the MVC-opening series at Southern Illinois and remained the starting second baseman the rest of his freshman season ... Led the Braves with a .320 average, 33 runs scored and 11 stolen bases to earn Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America honors.

High School
Godinez was a two-year varsity baseball letterman for head coach Raymond Del Fava at Lake Forest High School ... After winning his team's Gold Glove Award as a sophomore in 2009, Godinez earned all-conference notice as a junior last spring when he complimented his defensive work with a .325 batting average.

Personal
The son of Adrianna Sormani ... Majoring in business, Godinez has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of the last two semesters.
