Started the first 109 games he played in his career before coming off the bench as a pinch-hitter March 16, 2012 versus Jacksonville State ... Ranked fifth in The Valley with  team-best .343 batting average in 2011 ... His 37 bases on balls in 2011 were the most by a Brave since 1996 ... Ranked among the national leaders with nine outfield assists in 2011 ... Bradley's active leader with 81 career walks and 18 outfield assists.

High School
A two-sport star at William Fremd (Ill.) High School, Tauchman played both baseball and football for the Vikings ... Named all-conference on the baseball diamond three times, including MSL West Player of the Year as a senior ... Was a three-time all-area selection, and received Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times all-state honors following his senior campaign ... Hit .490 with seven homeruns, 10 doubles, 39 runs batted in and 16 stolen bases as a senior, helping the Vikings win the MSL West championship ... Finished his junior season with a .365 average, six doubles, 12 stolen bases and 38 runs scored ... As a junior quarterback, Tauchman led the Vikings to an 11-1 record and received all-area special mention honors ... Passed for 1,590 yards, rushed for 650 yards and scored 17 total touchdowns as a senior en route to all-conference, all-area and second team Chicago Tribune all-state honors ... Also picked off four passes as a senior and had a net punting average 36.5 yards ... Member of the William Fremd honor roll.

The son of Robert and Cindy Tauchman, Mike was born Dec. 3, 1990 ... Mother attended Bradley University ... Has a younger sister, Julia ... Majoring in business management & administration, Tauchman has earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of his last five semesters.
