At Bradley (2008-11)
Despite playing only one-and-a-half seasons as a forward, Gaul ended his Bradley career fifth in program history with 75 points, tied for fourth with 31 goals and tied for 10th with 13 assists ... Also finished second with 15 career game-winning goals, second-best in school history ... Made the move from left back to forward midway through the 2010 season and wound up sharing The Valley scoring lead during the regular season with 12 goals and 28 points ... Added 11 goals and 26 points as a senior in 2011, tying for second in The Valley in both points and goals ... Enjoyed a 7-game point-scoring streak, third-longest in program history, immediately after making the move to forward Oct. 1, 2010 ... Opened the 2011 season by scoring the game-winning goal in each of Bradley's first three games to become the first player in school history to net the winner in three consecutive games ... Began his Bradley career as a midfielder in 2008, then moved to left back for his sophomore season in 2009 ... Earned honorable mention All-Missouri Valley Conference honors as a sophomore defender, before garnering first-team all-league honors as a forward in his final two seasons ... Gaul's play up top helped the Braves to the 2010 State Farm MVC Tournament title and consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament (2010, 2011) for the first time in program history.

Summer Experience
Gaul played in the Premier Development League in 2010 for the MPS Portland Phoenix ... In 2009, Gaul played for the Chicago Fire Premier USL Super-20 team, helping the squad reach the Super-20 League North American Finals in Rockford, Ill. 

Prep Overview
As a senior in 2007, Gaul led Neuqua Valley to a state tournament runner-up finish while garnering all-state honors from the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times ... Nominated for the Gatorade Player-of-the-Year award, Gaul contributed 12 goals and 16 assists for the Wildcats, who finished with a 24-2-4 record in 2007.

Club Soccer
Played alongside Bradley teammate Christian Meza for the Chicago Magic, the nation's top-ranked club team ... Helped the Chicago Magic to the 2007 Super-Y League national championship, as well as four straight Illinois State Cup titles and back-to-back Midwest Region championships in 2005 and 2006 ... In addition to his participation with the Chicago Magic, Gaul was also part of the Olympic Developmental Program (ODP) national team pool in 2006.

Personal
The son of Pete and Berna Gaul ... Younger sister, Alexa, is a goalkeeper at the University of Texas and for the U.S. Under 23 Women's National Team.
