PEORIA, Ill. — Former Dayton Flyer Genoa (Ja - NAY) Moxley was named assistant volleyball coach in March 2008.  Moxley joined the Braves coaching staff after one year as an assistant coach at Kent State.

A 2002 Dayton graduate with a Bachelor of Science in physical education, Moxley helped Kent State to a 22-10 overall record and 11-5 mark in the Mid-American Conference during the 2007 season. She joined the Golden Flashes’ coaching staff after a two-year stint as head coach at West Liberty State College in West Liberty, W. Va., during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Moxley also served as head coach for the Pittsburgh Elite Volleyball Club during her tenure in W. Va.

"I am extremely excited to have Genoa on board as an assistant coach and our recruiting coordinator here at Bradley," Burdette said. "Genoa brings a great deal of energy and experience to our program in many different areas both on the court, in the office and as our recruiting coordinator."

Prior to coaching the Hilltoppers at West Liberty State, Moxley was an assistant coach at Southwestern University for two years (2003 and 2004). While at the Georgetown, Texas, school, she helped the Pirates to a 58-15 (.795) mark, which included a 32-5 overall record and national ranking as high as 15th during the 2003 campaign. In addition, Moxley served as head coach for Austin Metro Volleyball Club while at Southwestern University.

A native of London, Ontario, she was a four-time letterwinner at Dayton at middle blocker and outside hitter. The Flyers were 75-40 (.652) during her time with the Flyers. As a sophomore Moxley helped Dayton to a 23-8 record (.742) and the programs first-ever regular-season conference championship in 1998.
