2008-09 - Junior at Bradley
Although in his first year at Bradley, Dunson was selected a co-captain (Sam Maniscalco) in a preseason team vote ... His 21 points Nov. 14 versus UIC were the most points scored by a Brave in his Bradley debut since Phillip Gilbert (23) in 2000 and he became the first newcomer to lead the team in scoring in the season-opener since Anthony Parker (20) in 1993 ... Bradley's third-leading scorer at 10.1 ppg, despite breaking a bone in his right hand Feb. 21 at Loyola when he was bumped into a courtside table toward the end of the game ... He played through the injury in seven of the last eight games, but averaged only 5.3 ppg in those seven games.

Immediate Impact
Each fall, the Bradley Basketball team elects its team captain(s) for the upcoming season ... Although he had not yet donned a Bradley jersey, Dunson was voted a team co-captain in last year's preseason vote.

2007-08 - Sophomore at Vincennes
Transferred to Vincennes University for his sophomore season and helped the Trailblazers to a 28-6 overall record and the 2008 NJCAA District 3 Tournament championship ... The only player to start all 34 games at Vincennes in 2007-08, Dunson averaged 10.7 ppg, 3.6 apg and 3.4 rpg and he shot 35.4 percent (58-164) from 3-point range ... Dunson was his team's leading scorer in both games of the District 3 Tournament, pumping in 20 points in a 62-54 win against Monroe and 19 more in the championship game win versus Globe to send the Trailblazers to the NJCAA Division I national tournament.

2006-07 - Freshman at Iowa State
Dunson began his college career at Iowa State, where he averaged 5.2 ppg, 1.5 rpg and 1.0 apg and led the Cyclones in free throw percentage (.816) during his freshman season in 2006-07 ...Enjoyed a streak of 18 straight made free throws ... His 30 3-pointers made in 2006-07 represented the fourth-best single-season total ever by an Iowa State freshman ... While he scored 16 points against Drake, five of his seven double-digit scoring efforts came against Big 12 competition, including a career best 19 points in a road win at Missouri on his 20th birthday ... During that freshman season, Dunson played against Bradley Dec. 16, 2006 in Des Moines, although his six points, two assists and two rebounds in 26 reserve minutes were not enough to prevent the Braves from earning a 76-66 victory.

At Bloomington H.S.
A first-team all-state pick and McDonald's All-American nominee as a senior in 2005, Dunson helped Bloomington H.S. to a pair of Big 12 Conference titles ... The 2005 Pantagraph High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior, Dunson was a three-time All-Area selection ... Averaged 18 points, six rebounds and five assists as during his senior season ... In addition to his four years at Bloomington High School, Dunson attended Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., where he averaged 17.2 ppg, 4.3 apg and 3.8 rpg during the 2005-06 season.

Overcoming Dyslexia
After struggling in the classroom during his first summer on the Bradley campus in 2008, Dunson was diagnosed with a severe form of dyslexia.  He has not allowed the learning disability to hinder his academic career, however, and he has overcome the disorder by dedicating himself to his studies.  Working one-on-one with a learning specialist, Dunson meets daily with a learning specialist and routinely visits the basketball team's study center in Haussler Hall for extra study sessions.

Dunson's hard work has paid off.  After earning a 3.5 semester grade point average to earn a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll during his first semester on The Hilltop, Dunson followed by posting a perfect 4.0 GPA during the 2009 Spring semester.

His ability to overcome dyslexia, combined with his play on the court and infectious personality, has made Dunson a nominee for the 2010 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.
