With 74 games played through his sophomore season, Maniscalco has equalled another Brave, Fred Schlictman (1949-51), for the most games ever played by a two-year player in Valley history ... His 126 career 3-pointers are the most ever by a second-year Brave ... Enters the season having made at least one 3-pointer in 18 consecutive games.

2008-09 - Sophomore
Despite entering just his sophomore season, Maniscalco was voted a team co-captain in the preseason ... Led The Valley in free throw percentage in league play by making 57-of-64 (.891) attempts ... Averaged 15.7 ppg in the last 12 games, scoring at least 20 three times ... Made at least one 3-pointer in each of the last 18 games, averaging 2.5 treys per game during the season-closing run.

2007-08 - Freshman
Started 15 games due to injuries to Daniel Ruffin and Andrew Warren and responded by averaging 10.4 ppg and 4.4 apg in those 15 starts ... Set the school record for 3-pointers made by a freshman with 55, breaking the mark set by current Cleveland Cavalier Anthony Parker (47) during the 1993-94 season.

Big Play Sam
Quickly developed a reputation for making big plays for the Braves and continues to build on his "go-to-guy" resumé:

Dec. 11, 2007:  Hit two second-half 3-pointers at Wright State, helping the Braves battle back from a 9-point second-half deficit to earn the 72-65 road win.
Jan. 16, 2008:  Converted a 3-point play to give the Braves a 7-point lead with 3:46 left against Drake, then made a deep 3-pointer with 10.7 seconds remaining to give the Braves a 68-67 lead.
Jan. 19, 2008:  Repeated his heroics in the next game by sinking two free throws with 10.4 seconds left for the deciding points in the 77-76 win against Evansville.
Feb. 19, 2008:  Moved into the starting lineup for the injured Andrew Warren at #16 Drake and responded with a key 3-pointer with 1:13 remaining and several big defensive plays down the stretch to spark Bradley's 72-71 upset, then followed with 13 points in each of the next two games.
Nov. 25, 2008:  Converted a 3-point play with 2:31 remaining that gave the Braves a lasting lead, 54-52, at Florida Gulf Coast.
Dec. 31, 2008:  Banked home a running shot from just outside the lane as the shot clock expired to keep Bradley in control at Wichita State and his drive set up Sam Singh's tip in winner against the Shockers.
Jan. 13, 2009:  With Indiana State within 48-46, Maniscalco drained a 3-pointer with 7:15 left to launch Bradley's 15-6 game-closing run in Terre Haute.
Jan. 24, 2009:  With the Sycamores again within two in the final minute in Peoria, Maniscalco buried two treys in the final 22 seconds of the half for an 8-point bulge.
Feb. 28, 2009:  Played all 50 minutes versus Drake and put the Braves ahead for good by making two free throws with 1:16 left in the second overtime.
March 23, 2009:  Made a tough shot in the lane with 18 seconds left to force a 73-73 tie in the second round of the 2009 CIT versus Oakland.

At St. Patrick H.S.
A two-time member of the East Suburban Catholic Conference all-league team, Maniscalco led the conference in scoring each of his last two years:  he averaged 19.7 points in conference play during his junior season and 20.3 points as a senior ... A 2007 first-team all-state pick by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association, Maniscalco also played for the North squad in the 2007 IBCA Class AA All-Star Game ... After shooting 45 percent from 3-point range during his junior season in 2005-06, Maniscalco made 33 treys in just 13 conference games, an average of 2.5 treys per game in 2006-07 ... Playing against Big Ten Conference recruits Evan Turner (Ohio State) and Demetri McCamey (llinois) twice during the 2006-07 regular season, Maniscalco scored better than 30 points in each of the two 2006-07 games versus league rival St. Joseph's.
