MACOMB, Ill. – Bradley completed a perfect day on the tennis courts Tuesday, adding a 7-0 afternoon sweep at Western Illinois to its morning home sweep against Nebraska-Omaha.
While the Braves (13-12) pulled out a pair of tie-breakers at Nos. 1 and 3 singles Tuesday afternoon at Western Illinois, the Nos. 4-6 players surrendered lost only four total games to the Leathernecks (4-14). Freshman Michael Davis cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles, while junior Eric Nguyen earned a 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 4 and sophomore Kevin Keiner took a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 6.
With its non-conference season complete, Bradley will wrap up the regular-season schedule with a pair of Missouri Valley Conference road matches this weekend. The Braves enter the final weekend in a 3-way tie for third in the league standings with Illinois State and Southern Illinois and will visit both squads, Friday at Illinois State and Saturday at Southern Illinois.
