Basketball Teams Host Red-White Scrimmage Saturday

Bradley basketball fans have their first chance to see the 2017-18 men's and women's basketballs teams take the court this season when the Braves host their annual Red-White Scrimmage Saturday at Renaissance Coliseum.

Red-White Scrimmage Schedule of Events
2 p.m.	Introduction of women's basketball team
2:05 p.m.	Women's Basketball Scrimmage - two 10-minute periods
2:30 p.m.	3-point Contest (men and women)
2:45 p.m.	Introduction of men's basketball team
2:50 p.m.	Men's Basketball Scrimmage - one 20-minute period
3:20 p.m.	Dunk Contest
3:30 p.m.	Autographs and schedule poster giveaway (men and women)

Admission for the event is free and starts at 2 p.m., beginning with the introduction of the women's program in addition to a scrimmage of two 10-minutes periods. Following the women's scrimmage, both the men's and women's teams will feature in a 3-point contest.

Beginning at 2:45 p.m., the 2017-18 Bradley men's team will be introduced to the BU fan base for the first time. The Braves will then compete in a 20-minute scrimmage before a dunk contest to wrap up on-court activities.

Both squads will then participate in an autograph session with the 2017-18 Bradley Basketball schedule posters available for fans for the first time this year.

The 2017-18 opens on Wednesday, Nov. 1 when the Braves host Robert Morris (Chicago) at Carver Arena. The BU women host Upper Iowa in its only exhibition contest of the preseason on Saturday, Nov. 4 with first tip at Renaissance Coliseum set for 4 p.m. Season and single-game tickets for both programs remain on sale by contacting the Bradley Athletics Ticket Office at (309) 677-2625 or BradleyTicketOffice@bradley.edu.
