Braves Host Annual Red-White Scrimmage

Bradley fans got their first taste of the BU women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon as the Braves hosted their annual Red-White Scrimmage.

The White Team used a late rally to defeat the Red Team, scoring the final 10 points of the game to earn a 39-34 victory in the scrimmage. Danielle Brewer completed a three-point play to tie the contest at 34 with just under two minutes remaining before Nyjah White also took advantage of an and-one to put the team ahead for good.

Both teams had strong shooting days, with the Red Team making 46.9 percent of its field goals, while the White Team made seven from beyond the arc. Overall, Chelsea Brackmann finished with a team-best 10 points for the White Team, making 5-of-7 field goals, while Shunseere Kent also had 10 for the Red Team.

The Braves also competed in a 3-point contest with Madison Dellamuth teaming with Luuk van Bree of the men's team to take the crown. The duo combined for 19 made 3-pointers in 30 attempts to earn the victory.

The Braves are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 4 with the team's exhibition game against Upper Iowa. Tip-off at Renaissance Coliseum is scheduled for 4 p.m.
