Game Recap: Men's Basketball |
San Diego, Calif. – San Diego State posted a 75-52 victory over Bradley on Sunday afternoon thanks to a strong start in each half. Both teams are now 7-2 on the season.

Sophomore Darrell Brown led Bradley with 12 points as nine different Braves scored on the day.

The Aztecs used a strong start to the contest to pull in front and never gave it back. San Diego State outscored Bradley, 22-3, in the first 10 minutes of the game before Bradley cut the lead to 14 at halftime, 37-23.

Another strong start in the second stanza quickly pushed the advantage to 22, 45-23, forcing Bradley to call an early timeout. From there, the Braves could only pull within 18 as the slow start proved costly in the 75-52 defeat.

Jalen McDaniels led the Aztecs with 14 points and 12 rebounds in the winning effort. San Diego State shot 44.4 percent from the field, while the Braves shot 32.8 percent and 7-of-21 from beyond the arc.

Bradley looks to return to its winning ways with a home game against Little Rock. The teams are set to meet in 10 days with the first tip at Carver Arena scheduled for 7 p.m.

Game Notes: The Braves saw their five-game winning streak snapped and were trying to win six-straight non-conference games for the first time since the 1987-88 season … Bradley entered the game as one of five schools nationally to have not allowed 70 in a game this season before the Aztecs eclipsed the mark with 75 … Bradley lost the rebounding battle for the first time in nine games this season … The Braves recorded a season-high 13 steals in the defeat … Meeting for the first time since 1967, the Aztecs won for the first time in five all-time meetings with the Braves, while BU is now 11-11 all-time against teams currently in the Mountain West Conference.
